Meet Your Financial Planner

A family of four standing on a grassy field with mountains, trees, and a partly cloudy sky in the background.

No, neither of those cute kids will be running your financial analysis (yet). I’m the guy in the back.

If we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting in person, I’m Tim—and I’d be honored to help you navigate your financial decisions with confidence and clarity.

I began my career in Pediatric Research at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, spending six years in the Research Department and Project Management Office at the Marcus Autism Center. During that time, I earned my Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and discovered a love for planning and analysis that eventually led me to financial planning.

What began as a hobby—listening to podcasts, reading books, and helping coworkers think through their retirement plans—turned into a calling. Five years ago, I joined Northwestern Mutual, where I gained a strong foundation in the financial services industry and learned the value of listening closely to clients and helping them chart an efficient path toward their goals.

Along the way, I noticed two things:

  1. Many people feel intimidated, cautious, or simply confused about their finances. Jargon like “advisor fees,” “front-end loads,” and “portfolio management fees” only adds to the fog.

  2. There’s often a gap between people’s financial goals and their financial habits. With so much conflicting advice online—some of it inaccurate, unhelpful, or even illegal—many people are left without a clear, personalized plan.

That’s why I started Lighthouse Financial Planning—to cut through the noise and give you a plan that’s tailored to your life. I’ll always tell you exactly what your plan costs and ensure you understand what you’re getting every step of the way. My goal is to make financial planning straightforward, transparent, and empowering.

When I’m not behind the computer, I’m a husband to Haley and a dad to Addie, Emery, and Noah (not pictured). You’ll usually find me with my family, listening to a good book, or enjoying a hike.

If you see me in the wild, I might seem reserved at first—but bring up Jesus, hiking, sci-fi/fantasy books, or board games, and I’ll happily chat for hours.

Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to getting to know you.
