Frequently Asked Questions
Did you see the game last night?
No, probably not. But feel free to talk to me about it anyway.
What is fee-based financial planning?
Fee-based planning means you pay a clear, upfront fee for the financial plan or service you receive—no hidden commissions, no pressure to buy products. I don’t sell insurance, annuities, or investment funds, and I won’t ask you to move your accounts to me.
This doesn’t mean those products are bad; it simply means my advice is 100% focused on what’s best for you, not on earning a commission.
What is included in my financial plan?
Every plan will be tailored to your goals and the exact content will change from person to person. That being said, there are a few things each plan will contain.

Why “Lighthouse” Financial Planning?
The longer I worked in the financial services industry, the more I saw people feeling lost, confused, or even hopeless about their finances. Most of the time, this wasn’t because they couldn’t manage their money—it was because no one had given them clear, trustworthy guidance.
That’s why I started Lighthouse Financial Planning. My role isn’t to take the wheel and steer your ship for you; it’s to cut through the fog of financial jargon, shine a light on the risks that could wreck your plans, and help you navigate toward calmer, clearer waters with confidence.
